The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers recent U.S. graduates, postgraduate candidates, young professionals, and artists an opportunity to teach or conduct research in Romania, through English Teaching Assistant Awards or Research Awards.
Candidate Profile: U.S. candidates at all degree levels will be considered, but preference is given to advanced graduate students. The Commission accepts proposals in all disciplines.
Award Length and Period: 9 months. Grants begin in October.
Candidate Profile: U.S. candidates at all degree levels will be considered, but preference is given to graduate students who have completed or are enrolled in a degree program, irrespective of their field of study, and who are interested in international education. Previous teaching experience is strongly recommended. Applicants should submit detailed descriptions of their experience and interest in teaching.

Award Length and Period: 10 months. Grants begin September/October and end in June/July. The first 5 months of the grant will take place in Bulgaria, followed by 5 months in Romania, or vice versa, depending on the project proposal.
