The book provides both a comprehensive language skills course and a wealth of practice for all sections of the test. The chapters in this book discuss in detail the characteristics and questions of each section of the test. There is also a section for practicing the various skills necessary for scoring high on the test. This section takes the place of an actual practice test. The book focuses on various test taking strategies and other preparation techniques for the GRE. A chapter is dedicated to the Analytical Writing section, including practice essay questions. In the appendix there is also a root word list, top GRE words in context, and a math reference. There is one practice test to go along with all this.
GRE CAT Success, published by Peterson's
This book reviews all the sections, Analytical Writing included, and it also provides a vocabulary building chapter. There are 2 practice tests in total and an appendix with some extra information about test taking, graduate applications and personal essay.

A total of 12 chapters, all dealing with the current sections of the test, including the Analytical Writing section and a word list. The book has some review sections, including one for the Analytical Writing section, as well as some general preparation advice. There are also seven "real" GRE general tests, and two practice Analytical Writing tests.
GRE Verbal Workout, published by The Princeton Review, 2 copies available
The volume expressly covers–in 8 chapters–only the preparation for the verbal section of the GRE test. While the first two chapters discuss strategies for the paper based test and for the computer test, the rest of the book deals with the various types of questions encountered in the verbal section of the test. The last chapter focuses on vocabulary and offers a wordlist, along with the word's grammatical usage and definition.

LSAT: The Official Triple Prep Plus with Explanations, published by Law School Admission Council (LSAC)
The volume shows you how to approach the three LSAT question types using official explanations for right or wrong answers. The book includes some of the writing samples that have appeared on actual tests. It also gives complete instructions for the simulated test conditions, official LSAT instructions and answer sheets, as well as information on how to convert your score into the 120-180 scale.
It doesn't provide the best explanations on how to tackle the questions. Neither are the explanations in depth. However, it offers good test practice once you've learnt your strategies somewhere else.
Cracking the LSAT, published by The Princeton Review
The book gives you advice on how to eliminate answer choices that look right but are planted to fool you, crack complex arguments by zeroing in on the conclusion, use powerful methods of diagramming to solve game problems, ace the reading comprehension section by "mapping out" the passage, and earn a higher score on the writing sample by knowing what they're really looking for.
I find it very useful as it gives techniques for answering questions more in-depth. It's really good for the practice tests and it has lots of writing in it.

These solutions will introduce you to numerous analytic techniques that will help you significantly not only on the LSAT but in law school as well.
I found very good explanations of how to approach questions or games in it. It's excellent for beginners as it has lots of practice.
LSAT, published by Barron's, 8th Edition
The book includes a diagnostic to determine your strengths and weaknesses, 6 practice exams with analysis and explanations, chapters for each section of the test with practice questions, explanations and analysis, and information on how to choose a law school.
Useful given the good clear strategies to practice and the test practice it provides.
LSAT, published by REA
Contains exercise drills for all test sections, an LSAT study course schedule, complete coaching and review, plus 6 exams. By studying the review, test tips, and strategies and completing all six tests you can discover your strengths and weaknesses and ultimately become well prepared for the actual test.
I find it more challenging, therefore I'd recommend it for a later stage of the preparation process. It's no doubt excellent for test practice purposes.

Focus on Vocabulary, Mastering the Academic Word List, published by Longman
This textbook gives high-intermediate to advanced students the advantage they need o succeed in academic environments. Excerpts are taken from college texts and well-crafted exercises. There are seven chapters in the book, each providing a series of exercises on word meaning and word families on a variety of subject areas, such as social change, natural resources, music etc.

The book includes 1600 need-to-know words from recent tests, the most frequently tested words, word games and quizzes.

GRE and GMAT Math Workbook, published by Kaplan
The workbook offers powerful strategies to help you score higher, targeted training for all the math you need to know, including algebra, geometry and word problems. It also provides realistic practice questions including hundreds of computer-adaptive test style review questions with thorough explanations.
Student's Usage: Helping Learners with Real English, published by Collins Cobuild
This book offers entries on: frequent words, words referring to similar things, easily confusable words, words that look similar in other languages, but don't have the same meaning. Each entry also contains definitions and explanations as well as real examples.
Grammar Smart: A Guide to Perfect Usage, published by The Princeton Review
The guide focuses on the basic parts of speech such as nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc., the pronoun-verb agreement and parallel construction; it offers tips on how to avoid misplaced modifiers and dangling participles, lively and humorous examples and stories to illustrate meanings, and brief, interactive question-and-answer reviews.

Graduate Medical Education Directory, published by The American Medical Association
The famous Green Book offers information on nearly 8,000 graduate medical education programs, including combined specialty programs in 15 areas. Contact information of the program directors is included. It also provides the program requirements for residency education in 112 specialties and subspecialties, the names and addresses of more than 1,700 teaching institutions that sponsor and participate in residency education, etc.
Official Study Guide for the CGFNS Qualifying Examination, published by the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools, 2nd Edition
Contains questions like those you will find on the actual CGFNS qualification examination. The questions are multiple-choice, "situation related" and representative of nursing as taught and practiced in the US.
